Kuwait's real estate sector has experienced significant growth in the last five years, triggered by several structural factors such as economic expansion driven by high oil prices, favorable demographics, and abundant liquidity. Real GDP growth was sustained above 10.0% since 2003, where oil prices grew by 11.3% y-o-y to reach a new high of KD18.8 Bn in 2006.
