Oil markets seem convinced that demand is faltering just as supplies are picking up and that inventories are bound to rise significantly as the second half of the year unfolds. At least that’s how we’re supposed to explain that in 22 trading days Brent prices fell 20%, or $28 per barrel from their $146 peak.
